Scenario

Under the Ten-Year Forecast scenario, this represents an increase of 4,332 students, or approximately 61%, over current enrollment. Growth is concentrated in new residential development within elementary attendance zones.

Housing Pipeline

District growth is tied to residential development already underway or planned within Crosby ISD boundaries. According to the district's demographic study, Crosby ISD is projected to add approximately 14,494 new housing units over the next ten years (April 2025–October 2034):

  • 12,796 single-family units

  • 1,199 multi-family units

  • 499 manufactured housing units

  • The district has 11 manufactured housing communities, with one (Piney Woods) currently under construction and projected to add 394 units

  • Two multi-family projects are planned (Red Bud and The Enclave at Crosby), together expected to add 390 units

What This Means for District Facilities

District projections indicate all but one elementary campus will exceed its stated 750-student capacity by 2029, with more than half projected to exceed 120% of capacity by 2030. This growth is a primary factor in the facility needs addressed by the 2026 bond propositions.
